Burn out | Feelings | Self image | Stress
Today’s post is about the driving forces behind these emotions and how they can contribute to stress and exhaustion.
There are many factors that make exhausted persons easily become too active when they are trying to heal their stress injuries. This can delay the healing process and prolong the suffering.
In earlier posts I described the curse of abilities/talent – how the brain’s inherent need for stimuli drives the activity level sometimes too far with the purpose of making us feel good.
Tired people often find it difficult to notice when there is too much or too little stimuli. This is the case not the least because the energy level empties very suddenly and without warning. The margins are small.
In addition, there is another reason why many exhausted become far too active too quickly. It is the innate positive primary feelings of interest/curiosity and joy.
As soon as a tired person begins to rest and recover, the intrinsic drive to want to explore the world and meet our close ones is activated since such activities are rewarding for the psyche, creating more assets in our lives and gives us joy but can drive the exhausted into tiredness and worsened symptoms again.
