Here are some more techniques you can try:

-Develop the ability to study yourself from an observer’s perspective by asking yourself how you are perceived and if this matches your intentions – Would you be proud if you are being filmed and watched it later?

-Be aware of the internal critical voice that is a part of the feeling shame

-Develop an inner friend by:

1 constantly reminding yourself of your intentions, positive traits and achievements – especially when experiencing set-backs

2 Being aware of the words you use towards yourself – be gentle and kind towards yourself

3 Developing a more supportive and self-conscious inner dialogue – correct any harsh, judgmental or exaggerated negative words
